In the mid-80s, Italian Egidio Siena, who worked in the cosmetics industry, fortunately for us, was in the right place at the right time - in the French port of Brest in Brittany. There he was struck by the long rows of boats, which were filled not with fish but with seaweed. It was here that the future founder of Guam got acquainted with the traditional process of algae extraction. For fishing, only three things were needed: desire, nature and strength. After the sea values ​​were carefully taken out of the water, they were laid out on the rocky shores, and then the sun's rays and wind entered the business. Such a unity with nature made it possible to preserve all useful substances in the algae.

Inspired by what he saw, Egidio began to study the works of the famous physiotherapist Jean Valnet and decided to use the unique properties of algae for his new project. So he started writing the history of the Guam brand. It is interesting that initially the maestro gave this name to a new composition that combined different types of algae, sea clay, salt, essential oils and plant extracts, and only then the brand itself got it.

Even then, Siena understood that any product, even the most natural, should be tested by experts, because only they can scientifically confirm its effectiveness. He gave the finished sample of his "cocktail" to the research laboratory. Its composition surprised the female volunteers who tried the Guam composition on themselves: from the very first application, the thigh circumference began to decrease, and the skin became smoother and more elastic. After the tests, Egidio realized that the idea of ​​creating a tool that would help a woman replace a visit to a beauty salon was coming true.

Then the two first-borns of the Guam brand saw the light - a classic body mask and a version with a cooling effect. They both then and now contain a whole 21% of algae! They deserve the love of customers so much that wraps are still competing on an equal footing with new developments of the brand.
